On Campus
Ontario Hall Bed and Breakfast
The primary site of accommodation for STLHE 2016 is Western University's beautiful new residence building, Ontario Hall, the location of Western's Bed & Breakfast (virtual tour). This facility, opened in 2013, is conveniently located on campus, and includes complimentary parking, breakfast, and high-speed internet access. Rooms at Ontario Hall are furnished, semi-private suites, featuring two lockable bedrooms (each with a single bed), one washroom and a large storage closet. Barrier-free access and some specially designed suites are available.
Room rates for the conference are $60 per person per night or $115 per night for a suite, which can sleep up to four people.

While staying at Western University, conference delegates will have access to an exercise room outfitted with a selection of fitness equipment in Ontario Hall, as well as discounted access to Western University's state-of-the-art Recreation Centre. Multiple scenic trails along the Thames River are also accessible from campus and are excellent for walking, jogging or bird-watching.

By Car
Located at the convergence of highways 401, 402 & 403, London is approximately two hours driving distance from Toronto and Detroit. Free Parking will be available on campus at Ontario Hall (Lot N) for all conference participants regardless of accommodation agreement.
By Air
London International Airport has three main airline carriers: Air Canada, Westjet and United. Air Canada has direct flights to London from Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. Westjet has direct flights from Winnipeg, Calgary and Orlando. United has two flights daily from Chicago.
Airline discounts of 10% have been arranged for conference registrants flying with Air Canada (but not Tango) and Westjet. In order to receive the discounts, delegates must contact FCM Travel using the email western@fcmtravel.ca, or calling 1-855-329-3104 (Canada and US) or 1-416-813-4799. The discounts have been set up through the FCM Travel, not Air Canada and West Jet directly. When booking through FCM travel, a small service fee will be applied to your booking.
By Rail
If rail travel is preferred, a VIA rail station is located in the downtown core. A 10% discount applies to rail travel, but the ticket must be booked through FCM Travel western@fcmtravel.ca or by phone 1-855-329-3104 (Canada and US) or 1-416-813-4799.
By Bus
If travelling to London by bus, the Greyhound Bus terminal is conveniently located downtown near the rail station.
Throughout the city, London Transit is convenient and provides direct transport to and from Fanshawe and Western campuses and to the downtown core. Tourism London is providing all STLHE 2016 delegates with a free transit pass for the duration of the conference so that participants can travel to and from the conference with ease and can explore the various cultural and recreational activities that the city has to offer.

Le comité organisateur du colloque se réjouit de vous accueillir à London (Ontario) du 21 au 24 juin 2016. Fondée en 1826, la ville de London se situe sur les rives de la rivière Thames. La population de plus de 350 000 personnes apprécie la richesse historique de la ville et le dynamisme des Premières nations dont les communautés poursuivent leur relation à la terre que nous avons appelé London.
Centre reconnu de recherche biomédicale et d’éducation supérieure, la ville de London est également un centre culturel où de nombreux musées et festivals d’été ont élu domicile. Par ailleurs, la société 3M y a implanté son siège social. Cette dernière a créé la Bourse d’enseignement 3M et la Bourse nationale étudiante de la SAPE qu’elle finance toujours.

Vous trouverez à London où vous loger et vous sustenter et ce pour tous les goûts et au goût de toutes les bourses. D’ailleurs, le couette et café de Western se trouve au Ontario Hall. Inauguré en 2013 et commodément situé sur le campus, ce superbe immeuble abrite les résidences de Western et sert de lieu d’hébergement principal pour le colloque de la SAPES 2016. Le séjour au couette et café de Western comprend le stationnement, le déjeuner et l’accès à internet haute vitesse. Les suites semi-privées comportent deux chambres meublées (d’un lit simple) qu’il est possible de verrouiller, une salle de bain et un ample placard. Certaines suites adaptées d’accès facile sont disponibles.
Lors de leur séjour à Ontario Hall, les participants pourront profiter de la salle d’exercice, équipée d’une sélection d’appareils d’entraînement. Ils pourront également bénéficier d’un rabais sur le prix d’entrée au Centre de divertissement de l’Université de Western. Depuis le campus, il est possible d’emprunter des pistes le long de la rivière Thames, parfaites pour la marche, la course à pied et l’observation d’oiseaux.
Les participants au colloque de la SAPES 2016 bénéficieront de rabais à la librairie et à la boutique informatique de l’Université Western, ils pourront visiter gratuitement la galerie McIntosh — inaugurée en 1942, c’est la doyenne des galeries d’art universitaire au Canada —, et auront accès aux nombreux services offerts sur le campus dont un salon de coiffure, une épicerie, une pharmacie et un cinéma.
D’autres solutions d’hébergement existent notamment les nombreux hôtels luxueux situés au centre de la ville, non loin des campus de Western et de Fanshawe. Dans le courant de 2015, une liste des hôtels officielle du colloque sera publiée. Le transport local est pratique et vous conduira aux deux sites du colloque.
